About the Anthem
The Matiya Anthem was written by Dr. Kaustabh Mukhopadhyay (1950 passed out batch) and sung for the first time on 26th April, 1946. This anthem celebrates the rich heritage and legacy of Medical College Bengal, established in 1835 as the first medical school to teach European medicine in Asia.
